Begonia, a 72 square meter (775 sq. ft.) lodging, offers a living area with fireplace, sleeper sofa, open kitchen and full bath on the ground floor and two bedrooms (one with 140cm-wide double bed, the second with two 80cm-wide single beds or optional 160cm-wide double bed) and full bath on its upper level. Begonia also has a covered and private outdoor terracotta-tiled patio equipped for dining and lounging. Designed to comfortably accommodate four adults, Begonia is well-suited to a family (two parents with up to three kids, depending on age) and may also be rented as a one-bedroom lodging (limit 2 adults) measuring 56 square meters (603 sq. ft.).
Le Rose, a 102 square meter (1098 sq. ft.) lodging, offers a large open kitchen, half-bath and separate large living area with fireplace on the ground floor and, on its upper level, two bedrooms (one with 160cm-wide double bed, one with two 90cm-wide single beds or optional 190cm-wide double bed) each with en-suite bath. For those wanting still more space or for bigger groups, a larger third bedroom with desk, A/V system, library, armchair, 160cm-wide double bed, and en-suite bath can be added (see Rates & Dates page) on the ground floor, extending Le Rose to 129 square meters (1388 sq. ft.). Like Begonia, Le Rose has a private outdoor patio equipped for outdoor dining and lounging, in Le Rose's case with a noteworthy view of the valley below. With its optional third bedroom Le Rose can comfortably house four to six adults and two or three children, depending on age.
Le Rose and Begonia together comprise Poggiosole's fienile (the name refers to the building's original function as a hay loft). Booking well in advance, larger groups can reserve the entire fienile and have the patios, olive grove, pool and table tennis entirely to themselves. This solution is ideal for a family reunion, team off-site or other special event for up to 10 adults and four small children. The fienile as a whole offers five bedrooms, five and a half baths, two patios, two full kitchens and 201 square meters (2163 sq. ft.) of indoor living space as well as total privacy.
The above lodgings are situated high on a seven hectare (17 acre) property composed of olive groves, meadows and a smattering of grape vines. Our land gradually slopes into a verdant valley of which Le Rose in particular has a commanding view. All guests are welcome to walk through and picnic in any part of our property.
